Former Featurespace COO Dr Karthik Tadinada joins Advisory Board of FinCrime Dynamics

Dr Karthik Tadinada

Cambridge, 31st May 2024. FinCrime Dynamics has announced that Dr Karthik Tadinada has been appointed to its advisory board.

“Karthik is highly accomplished expert in the anti-financial crime AI industry. We are thrilled that he has identified the bright future of FinCrime Dynamics and chosen to be part of our journey,” said FinCrime Dynamics CEO Stephen Quick. “Karthik brings an unparalleled level of technical and commercial industry experience to our team following his impressive contribution to building Featurespace, one of the world’s leading fraud and compliance vendors.”

Karthik joined Featurespace when it was roughly 15 people and played an integral part in its success. He built the models at the core of Featurespace’s fraud offering, grew global delivery teams and deployed Featurespace systems to great success and impact across the world. In his near decade at Featurespace, Karthik progressed from a Data Scientist to the COO of a company that scaled to over 400 employees, running the Engineering, Data Science, Cloud Operations, Security and Delivery teams. As one of the world’s leading experts in anti-financial crime AI, Karthik spends his time immersed in new technologies, and their application to solving real world problems.

Karthik enjoyed a varied career prior to joining the anti-financial crime AI industry. He has held roles ranging from Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group BCG to Mathematics teacher at one of the most highly-ranked schools in the UK, St Paul’s School. He holds both an M.Eng and Phd from the Univeristy of Cambridge

Karthik says “I have seen first hand how difficult it is to come by high quality data to train machine learning models with. Institutions large and small have similar issues with data coverage and data quality, especially when it comes to examples of new or trending fraud types. I am excited by the opportunity to work with FinCrime Dynamics at this time of pressing problems in payments fraud - from banks being liable for inbound payment fraud to the threats posed by generative AI enabled scams - problems that I am looking forward to solving with Fincrime Dynamics.”
